Victorious owners celebrating a win here at Lingfield Park can do so with a tipple or two from today as we launch our ‘Lovely Lingfield Gin’.

Made using botanicals from around the Lingfield estate – including some turf to celebrate the taste of racing - and with the loving hands of its staff, the gin was distilled by Surrey-based connoisseurs, The Gin Kitchen.

Now, instead of a trophy, the winners at Lingfield will win a bottle of the gin and two Lingfield Park Resort balloon gin glasses.

‘We wanted to make winning at Lingfield a bit different considering we are one of the busiest racecourses in Europe,’ said Clerk of the Course, George Hill.

‘Hopefully the winners will appreciate the taste of the gin and the design of the bottle which has all been produced by staff at Lingfield Park.’

For those not lucky enough to own a winning horse, there will be an opportunity to try the gin in one of our many bars at – including the Cyprium Bar & Grill in the on-site Marriott Hotel & Country Club.

Kate Gregory, who owns Dorking-based The Gin Kitchen with Helen Muncie, said she was thrilled with the final version of the Lovely Lingfield Gin.

‘Our distillers genuinely said it was one of the best gins we have ever made,’ she added.

Both Kate and Helen joined us today for the first race meeting of the All-Weather Championships Series, to see the gin being launched.

‘It’s great being here today and seeing the end result,’ said Kate.

‘It has been such a lovely process with the Lingfield Park staff choosing the botanicals and coming to The Gin Kitchen to mix and taste the different batches.

‘We have never used turf before in any of our gins, so that was a new one for us! We were surprised at how good it tastes!’
