Lingfield Park Racecourse launches the search for the Lingfield One In A Million community hero as part of The Winter Million Festival
Lingfield Park Racecourse has launched the search to find Lingfield’s ‘One In A Million’ community hero’, as the track looks to celebrate all that’s great about the Surrey town and surrounding areas during the Winter Million Festival, taking place on Friday 19th – Sunday 21st January 2024.
Lingfield Park Racecourse has returned it's award to celebrate individuals in the community who have reached out to make a difference.
The racecourse is asking the public to make nominations for the One In A Million community hero accolade by visiting the Lingfield Park website and submitting a short summary about their nomination’s achievements and how they’ve gone above and beyond to support the local community. Entries must be submitted by midnight on Thursday 11th January.
All submissions will receive entry tickets to attend the Winter Million Festival and the overall winner will win a pair of Annual Members Passes, hospitality for two to attend the Winter Million Festival Day of their choice as well as a £1,500 donation to the charity of their choice.
Martin Wales, Lingfield Park Racecourse’s Executive Director, said:
“We really want to hear and share the stories of our community ‘One In A Million heroes. These are the people who always volunteer, always say yes, and put the needs of others before their own. We think they deserve to be recognised – plus given a great day out at the races too!”

Lingfield Racecourse’s The Winter Million Festival is a highlight of the Winter racing season. The Lingfield Hero 2024 will be announced on Friday 12th January.
