Rein in the midweek blues (and the inbox): Wednesday 8 September brings an evening of horse racing in September to Lingfield Park. It's flat racing on the All Weather, with the leaves just starting to turn around the course, and the perfect excuse for Edenbridge and Oxted to make the most of the light evenings.
Head to the parade ring to size up the field before each race, then find your spot on the rail for the finish. Afterwards, the winning horse is led back into the winner's enclosure for the owners and trainer to collect their prize, while everyone else quietly claims they'd picked it all along.
Midweek evenings here are relaxed and easygoing. Leave work at the office, grab a drink and let someone else do the running for once.
