Warm air, green turf and the rattle of hooves past the post. That's horse racing in August at Lingfield Park, and Tuesday 17 August is the next chance to enjoy it. Tunbridge Wells, August afternoons don't get more summery than this.
Flat racing on the turf is quick and close. Blink and you'll miss the move that wins it. The parade ring is a lovely spot on a warm day. You can watch the horses walk round and pick one you like the look of. Head down to the winner's enclosure and see the horses come back in, with everyone around them smiling.
Midweek here is friendly and unhurried. It's a lovely way to spend a Tuesday.
Our bars serve food and drink all day, and there's comfortable indoor seating if the weather turns. Tickets are on sale now from [CONFIRM 2027 PRICE]. Under-18s go free.
One for the diary: on Saturday 21 August, Ladies Day at Lingfield joins Summer Sounds and goes jazz, with the Boogie Bumpers turning the evening into a proper vintage knees-up. Fizz, frocks and an evening of racing first.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
