It's one of the standout middle-distance races of Arena Racing Company's winter all-weather season, the campaign that sends the season's finest horses down the road to All-Weather Championships Finals Day and its £1 million showpiece at Newcastle on Good Friday. Genuine top-class racing, drawing some of the country's best middle-distance runners and finest jockeys, right here on your doorstep.

While the grown-ups follow the form, there's a full programme of festive fun to keep younger racegoers glowing. Our funfair rides bring a swirl of colour, lights and laughter between races; our roving magician dazzles up close with tricks that'll have them gasping, and there are festive characters wandering the enclosures to meet, wave to and remember. It all turns a day at the races into a proper Christmas outing, the kind the children will talk about all the way home.
