Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS - Rule 18.2 applies 

A ball coming to rest in or beyond a hedge or fence forming the boundary of the course including: 1st - Over the ditch on the left; 7th - Over the Course Boundary on the left; 11th - Over the Course Boundary on the left; 18th - Over the ditch on the left bordering the driving range. Any other areas marked by white posts. 

2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS - Rule 16 

All sprinkler heads, control valves and drain grids are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1. Penalty for breach of this rule: Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Stroke Penalty. 

3. STAKED TREES - Rule 16.1 applies 

If a staked tree interferes with a player's stance or the area of their intended swing, the ball must be lifted and dropped in accordance with Rule 16.1f. Penalty for breach of this rule: Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Stroke Penalty. 

4. GROUND UNDER REPAIR - Rule 16.1 applies 

Temporary greens not in use must be treated as Ground Under Repair from which play is prohibited. Relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1. 

5. PENALTY AREAS - Rule 17.1d applies 

All penalty areas whether they contain water or not are defined with either yellow or red (lateral) posts. 17th Hole - the entire area beyond the red posts to the right of the fairway and green is deemed to be a lateral penalty area. 

6. PATHS 

A ball coming to rest on a bridge or an artificial path may be dropped without penalty, not nearer the hole, within one club-length. A player shall play a ball lying on a bridle path on the 4th, 5th and 8th holes as it lies or take relief under penalty of one stroke in accordance with Rule 16.1, with the exception of a ball lying within the area of these bridle paths marked by blue posts. The rule for this situation is: The point on the course NEAREST to where the ball lies shall be determined which is a) not nearer the hole and b) avoids interference from the bridle path. The player may lift the ball and drop it, within one club-length of the point thus determined without penalty. 

7. DROPPING ZONES 

1st and 2nd Holes - A ball coming to rest in or over the hedge to the rear of the 1st and 2nd greens may be dropped in the marked dropping zone. Penalty for breach of this Rule: One Stroke Penalty.
