The things you need to know when planning your horse racing outfit.
Due to local and national Covid-19 restrictions there will be limited indoor facilities available on racedays.
Spectators are therefore strongly recommended to dress for the outdoor event but we must ask for it to be smart casual with no torn jeans, football shirts and shorts, or fancy dress at any time.
For the foreseeable future racing at Lingfield Park will be a predominately outdoor event and we recommend spectators dress accordingly to ensure maximum enjoyment from their visit.
A lot of ladies like to dress for the occasion in dresses for the races, heels and hats, however, this is not a requirement. We would advise to dress for the elements and to always adhere to the rules of what clothing is permitted on site.
Gentlemen are advised that shirts should be worn at all times in all enclosures, though ties are not essential. Smart casual wear including smart jeans, chino or tailored shorts and trainers are allowed, but please adhere to the rules about clothing not permitted on site.
We do race throughout the whole year. Please ensure you dress accordingly, with plenty of warm clothing in the winter months. When the weather is very hot, tailored shorts are permitted.
